ThermTech Installs 10-Bar High-Pressure Quench Furnace

ThermTech of Waukesha installed a 10-bar high-pressure quench furnace with advanced computer control system from Seco/Warwick Corp., Meadville, Pa., for its commercial heat treat operation located in Wisconsin. The furnace features a 36 in. x 36 in. x 48 in. hot zone and 5,000-lb load capacity with a maximum temperature of 2400F. The system heats by convection, and the isothermal quench delivers controlled cooling with less distortion of parts. The round hot zone with curved graphite heating elements completes the furnace design.
